Instructional Technology
What it means to be a literate adult, prepared to participate fully in all aspects of 21st-century society, includes:
- Technological proficiency
- Ability to access and produce information electronically
- Ability to navigate and interpret an endless stream of media images and messages
The infusion of technology into all aspects of our culture and workplaces means that literacy programs must include technology and media literacy in their instructional services. Our professional development efforts around integrating technology into instruction are based on an active, project-based approach to literacy instruction.
