  • Explore and expand the concept of job skills
  • Provide examples of using technology to teach job skills
  • Provide participants with a format and a chance to practice developing lessons plans in which technology is used as a tool

Part 1: "Remember the best job you ever had." With your partner, share an example of a job you had that you really enjoyed. What did you do in the job? What kinds of skills were needed?

Generate list of job skills.

Part 2: Review the list and identify which job skills you teach.
Give examples: How do you teach specific skills?
Which skills are hardest to teach? Why?
Which ones have you been teaching successfully?
