Workshop Summary
This hands-on workshop will give participants the opportunity to explore web-based resources available for employment, career development and labor market information. As well, participants will be introduced to some of the resources available to displaced workers and those in industries affected by the economic aftermath of the World Trade Center attack.
Objectives
  • Participants will develop an understanding of and familiarity with web quests and establish criteria for using them in the classroom.
  • Participants will develop a model lesson on using web-based employment resources in the classroom.
  • Participants will explore web-based resources for employment and career development.
  • Participants will explore web-based resources for worker relief.
