Occupational English Instructor P/T

8/5/2026

Occupational English Instructor (P/T)

CWS New York is launching the Migrant Opportunity Project, designed to reduce employment barriers and equip clients with practical, employable skills through targeted training, career counseling, and individualized support. One of the priority courses to reduce employment barrier is language. To that end, CWS NY is planning two sets of Occupational English classes at 475 Riverside Drive. Classes will be two hours, three times a week for 12 weeks. (6hr/week)

Requirements and descriptions:
Instructor should have some ESL teaching experience and work well with diverse immigrant communities. Instructor must have good communications skills and has strong interest in teaching ESL. Experience in occupational English is strongly preferred. Instructor will create and share curriculum with CWS NY staff and understand the overall goals of the new Migrant Opportunity Project. CWS NY staff will be responsible for recruitment and secure safe and comfortable class spaces. At least one reference will be requested.

Rate: $100-120/two-hour class depending on experience. Preparation for classes is unpaid but supplies will be reimbursed.
