Part-time ESOL teachers needed for Fall 2024 and Winter/Spring 2025
Queens Public Library’s ESOL Program is currently seeking part-time teachers for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Location: Various locations across Queens; must be willing and able to teach in southeastern Queens
Schedule Options: Weekdays: Mondays/Wednesdays, Tuesdays/Thursdays, Mondays/Thursdays, from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
Saturdays: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm; Thursday evenings, 5:30-7:30 pm
Salary: $38/hour + class prep time

Responsibilities:
- Be comfortable teaching adult ESOL students at both the beginning and intermediate levels
- Develop engaging materials and lesson plans
- Administer BEST Plus oral proficiency exam at ESOL registrations and in the classroom
- Electronically submit weekly lessons plans and monthly attendance rosters
- Be comfortable with and adept at using Google Drive
