Class Schedule: Tuesdays 6:00-9:00 pm
September 10-December 3 (no class November 5)
Pay: $60.00 per hour for instructional time and scheduled meetings
Responsibilities:
- The ability to teach applied writing skills adult learners in a mixed level, virtual setting
- Develop engaging materials and lesson plans with the aim of improved writing skills for improved job performance and personal development
- Topics covered include email etiquette, writing memos, using concise language, writing incident reports, using correct grammar and punctuation and eliminating construction errors.
- Students will create a revised resume and a basic cover letter
- Ability to use virtual platforms such as Zoom or Ring Central
- Be comfortable with using video and computer during class
- Ability to use Google Drive is an asset
- Willing to work as an independent contractor
