Adolescent Literacy Resources

Donate
The Literacy Assistance Center has developed a website to support the work of Adolescent Literacy after-school programs that are funded through the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).  The website describes and provides resources for best practices in reading, writing, and vocabulary instruction. These suggestions and resources are based on evidence about effective instructional strategies for adolescent learners who struggle with literacy, and were selected for the unique learning environment of after school literacy programs.
