Volunteer Manager is needed to coordinate all daily activities for a dynamic school-based tutoring program for 17- to 21-year-old immigrant students. This position will report to the Director of College and Academic Services and will include engaging students around academic and career planning. Applicant must have knowledge of college and career paths and opportunities for our immigrant students to grow. Excellent communication skills in English are required but knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially Spanish, French or Chinese. Ideal candidate will bring international knowledge and experience, along with an ability to envision a growth path for individual students and advise accordingly.
Applicant must have the ability to create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly tutoring schedules for more than 50 volunteers and over 200 students. Must be able to successfully nurture relationships with a diverse community of volunteers and students and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate will be detail oriented, thorough, motivated and eager to effect change in our students’ lives.
