Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify learning needs and facilitates learning process, including development, delivery, implementation and evaluation of contextualized HSE
- Plan and design curricula from education program, researches and defines educational goals, objectives and methodologies to meet program goals
- Assist with developing an Individual Service Strategy(ISS) and developing educational career-related goals collaboratively with participants based on motivational interviewing process
- In conjunction with Program Director develop and participate in high quality, relevant staff training
- Provide positive guidance, discipline, mentoring and role modeling to staff members and youth served
- Support and work with program participants in career pathways
- Provide supportive services, recommend interventions when appropriate and make educational referrals to other services when needed
- Monitor attendance at Fedcap services and at offsite programming
- Assist coordination of workshops to be offered to program participants
- Handle data entry responsibilities, including outcomes reporting
- Provide follow up services for program graduates
- Participate in regularly scheduled supervision and ongoing training
- Provide weekly reports to Program Director
- Perform other duties as required
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in curriculum planning, development and Writing
- Demonstrated ability to identify needs analyze and logically organize complex information and transform that into professionally designed, engaging and effective training materials
- Experience working with youth and young adults, including three years of experience with court involved youth and young adults within the last five years
- Ability to manage and facilitate educational programs
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent presentation, Writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
