The Adult Learning Center is located within the Division of Continuing Education at NYC College of Technology. We provide free English as a Second Language classes and High School Equivalency classes to adult learners. We operate as a community-based organization, providing important services to those in need.
We are looking for a part-time Lab Tech to work at our Borough Park, Brooklyn site Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Duties include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), and Web browsers. Experience with Apple operating system as the computer lab is entirely Mac.
$22-$25 hourly wage, will be commensurate with experience

- Supporting instructor(s) in assisting beginning and intermediate-level ESL students in the computer lab
- Providing guidance on how to use the internet for research and general computer operations (typing, printing, saving, and retrieving documents)
- Willing to assist in other non-computer program functions as needed such as making copies and helping with technology outside the computer lab
