Oil Painting Instructor
DESCRIPTION:
Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizen Council (RBSCC) is a non-profit community-based social service organization. Oil Painting Instruction will be for the senior citizen residents of RBSCC housing facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruct Oil Painting classes for senior adults, incorporating elements such as choosing a subject, composition, light, form, color, tone, objects and space and more.
Teach the use of materials, canvasses, paints, brushes.
Prepare the room and the materials for use before each class; ensure that the students maintain an orderly classroom.
Supervise use of art supplies
Educate all senior citizen residents about the painting classes and outreach to them to participate in the classes.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school plus two 2 to 3 years of experience working with adults or older students teaching art, specifically oil painting and drawing or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
