Responsibilities include:
- Instructor will guide participants in learning the content necessary to take and pass the 4 tests necessary to earn a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Permit credential, gain the language skills necessary to pass the oral part of the licensing exam (Pre-Trip Inspection) and prepare to enter RHOR technical driving program.
- Instructor will train to back up the lead BICSI Low-Voltage Cable Installer instructor to cover that class as needed
- Instructor will maintain and update all student records, including personal information, education background and employment history and periodically update test records and employment and education goals, reporting any barrier to education to insure appropriate counseling.
Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. degree is required.
- At least two years recent and relevant teaching experience with immigrant populations.
- Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
- Must be a certified Best Plus Test Administrator.
- Must have experience working with workforce development programs.
- Able to teach in person in South Brooklyn.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish or Chinese is a plus.
- Commitment to FAC’s mission to advance economic, social and racial justice.
Compensation: $40 per hour.
