Today the FEGS’ network of programs in Health•Disabilities•Home Care•Housing•Employment•Workforce, Education•Youth and•Families, assists more than 12,000 people every day-120,000 each year, inspiring individuals and families and strengthening communities.
The FEGS Bronx Youth Center is seeking a full-time ABE/HSE Teacher to help students develop their reading, writing, and math skills; prepare for the TASC exam, and get ready for the workforce. Candidate should have experience with youth development principles and contextualized learning. In addition to exceptional teaching skills, the candidates should like to work collaboratively and have a learner-centered approach.
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree, certification or other advanced training preferred; 2 years’ experience providing literacy and HSE instruction; and prior experience working with youth ages 16-24.
