Part-time ABE/TASC Prep Language Instructor Needed
CAMBA, Inc. seeks a part-time ABE/TASC Prep language instructor to work at its Adult Literacy Center (885 Flatbush Avenue – Brooklyn, N.Y.)
The class meets in the evening from 5:30 am to 8:30, Monday through Friday. Candidates must have a B.A/B.S. in education or a related field; Masters preferred. Candidates must have taught ABE/GED/TASC preparation for at least 2 years and must have experience administering TABE and working with low income and/or ethnically diverse populations.
For this position, the ability to effectively teach standard English grammar, reading comprehension, and essay writing skills to adults and young adults is a must. Applicants with experience in computer-assisted instruction, who are self-starters, and highly organized are preferred.
