Turning Point Brooklyn is hiring a Career and Vocational Counselor, a full-time position that requires a flexible weekday schedule, including 2 evenings per week. This position will be the lead on providing job development and career advancement services for our ABE, HSE, and ESOL students, as well as Literacy Zone participants, all of whom are primarily youth, but also include adults and many immigrants. Counselors work closely with teachers and administrative staff to provide 360 degree service including, but not limited to, job placement support and retention, as well as cultivation of community partnerships in support of job opportunities. Outgoing personality needed, as well as an ability to connect with students.
