Morning ESOL Instructor Needed
CAMBA needs an ESOL instructor to work part-time, in person, and on site at its Education Center, located at 10 Snyder Avenue – Brooklyn, N.Y.
The work schedule is 9 am to 12 noon, Monday through Thursday.
The salary is $35.36 per hour.
It is required that candidates have at least a BA/BS in education or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as an ESOL instructor.
Candidates with a master’s degree in TESOL are preferred.
Candidates must be familiar with Internet resources of relevance to English learners and be able to integrate technology and workplace skills into classroom instruction. Applicants who are BEST Plus Administrators, who have experience in computer-assisted instruction, who are self-starters, and who are highly organized are preferred.
In order to be hired, applicants will need to submit contact information for 3 current/former work supervisors whom a CAMBA staff member will contact for professional/objective reference purposes.
CAMBA does not accept references from family members, friends, relatives, or colleagues.
Applicants will also need to do a 45-to-60-minute teaching demonstration in one of our ESOL classes.
