Employment Specialist– RBSCC HomeBase
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time Position, 35 hours per week
SALARY: High $36-$40K Job Summary and Qualifications: The Employment Specialist is responsible for assisting Brooklyn HomeBase clients find stable employment.
Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years’ experience working in the workforce development field. Familiarity with the NYC workforce development system is preferred. Experience working in a career development or social service agency.
Duties and Responsibilities: Develop relationships with employers, training providers, and/or other community resources that will help clients increase their incomes. Conduct initial assessments, provide ongoing engagement/support, and ensure positive outcomes for a large case load. Assist clients with résumé and cover letter writing, online job applications, and job search plans Research job opportunities in NYC and refer clients to hiring events and/or interviews.
