ESOL Instructor P/T and F/T

ESL Instructor – Continuing Education Teacher (CET)
Kingsborough Community College
Full-time and Part-time
 
Instructors for Kingsborough English Language Immersion Program (including TOEFL instruction); CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP); part-time ESL instructors.

• Provides academic, thematic ESL instruction
• Documents, maintains students' attendance records and progress files
• Refers students to the appropriate advisor, support services, as necessary
• Participates in meetings and training as required
• Assists in the testing and placement of new applicants each semester
• Provides TOEFL instruction (program specific)

 
Required:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, and ESL teaching experience

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with diverse populations
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Computer proficiency in software programs/applications, such as Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Google Classroom (or other platforms); Google apps

 
Compensation: $40-$45/hour based on education and experience
