Adult Educator-P/T ESL instruction
Job Description: Adult Educator - P/T ESL Instruction Description/Requirements: Nassau BOCES Adult Learning Center is looking for part time ESL Instructors. Best PLUS and Best Literacy assessments and NRS regulation knowledge is preferred. Detailed record keeping, paperwork and lesson planning is essential. Previous Adult Education experience is preferred yet not required, working with ESL or TESOL education background is helpful and instructional certification in other areas is highly preferred. Teachers must hold a current New York State Education Teaching Certification. Classes meet for 3 hour sessions mornings and evenings. Evenings are 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesdays and Thursdays, in Freeport, Valley Stream or Westbury. Detailed schedules are subject to change. 12 hours of paid Professional development annually is required.
The majority of positions are evening, 6:30-9:30, at a various locations.
