Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow is seeking a part-time ESOL instructor for high intermediate adult learners at our 25 Thornton Street location. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., to start immediately.
Interested candidates should be available to teach for the entire length of the 12-week class cycle,be committed to social justice and have experience working with immigrant populations. This person should be able to teach a student driven ESOL curriculum that integrates language with a focus on functional contexts such as life skills, workplace and vocation, and which facilitates students’ development of their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The candidate must be organized, creative and capable of incorporating technology to prepare language learners for today’s technological world. This individual should also be discreet when handling students’ personal information.
