ESOL Instructor P/T

The New York Public Library has an exciting opportunities for ESOL teachers who help immigrant New Yorkers practice English while informing them of the city’s resources.

Working with the ESOL Manager and the local Hub Manager ESOL hourly instructors will:

• Teach classes that promote English language proficiency for students at NRS levels 3 and above
• Reference the ten WANY episodes, associated print and web materials in a communicative language teaching environment during class-time. 
• Instruct adult ESOL students in classes and learning experiences which will lead to the achievement of their educational and personal goals
• Assist in the managed enrollment process to recruit and maintain students and student records
