Part-time Evening ESOL Instructors Needed

The Center for Immigrant Education and Training (CIET) at LaGuardia Community College seeks dynamic and innovative part-time ESOL instructors for its evening ESOL & Civics programs.

Responsibilities of the position will include:

• Provide high-quality, communicative ESOL lessons using appropriate curricula that are contextualized to student needs and the goals of the program
  
• Lead students in civics-related contextualized ESOL classes
  
• Prepare lessons in keeping with program goals and curricula
  
• Monitor and report student progress and attendance and assist the program with required reporting
  
• Related tasks, as necessary

Schedules Available:

• Classes meet 3 nights per week (MTW 6-9 pm or TWTh 6:30-9 pm)
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, plus a recognized TESOL certification or MA TESOL course work required
  
• Relevant and significant ESOL teaching experience
  
• Experience with low levels a plus
