Community Impact at Columbia University offers an ESOL program serving adult immigrants in the Upper Manhattan area. We are now recruiting volunteer teachers for our summer session. It will run from now until August 17, 2017. Classes are held in the afternoon and evening, Monday-Thursday at Columbia University's Morningside campus.
We have six classes ranging from beginner through advanced levels: Levels 1-5 are taught with textbooks that form the foundation of each lesson, and Level 6 has a looser curriculum (no textbook) that teachers use to design their own lessons. Experience teaching ESL or EFL required.
