ESOL/HSE Instructor - Contextualized Medical Billing P/T

Brooklyn Public Library's Adult Learning Department is seeking a self-driven, motivated integrated education and training Medical Billing temp. instructor who strives in assisting participants in reaching their career goal in life. The successful individual will be responsible for implementation and evaluation by facilitating participant’s learning through contextualization lessons using Schoology and Google Classroom. As an instructor, you will have the opportunity to positively impact participants’ lives by sharing your knowledge and experience.
 
 Qualifications:

• Masters degree, OR, Bachelors Degree in related field; formal training and a minimum 2 years of documented experience in the health field or education field
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience
• Training and/or knowledge in ICD-10

Class Cycle:

• Spring:  February – May

Class schedule: Saturdays 10am-1pm and online classroom portal
We are seeking a Saturday instructor to reiterate skills being taught during the evening classes. **During COVID-19, all classes are being held temporarily online and staff may be able to work from home occasionally. BPL laptop usage may be available for teacher if needed.   
 
Pay rate: $40 per hour for 3 hours of instruction on Saturdays and 5 hours of prep. and maintaining the online assignments portal via Google Classroom. Total of 4 hours per week for 15 weeks.
