Responsibilities include providing daily instruction to disconnected youth ages17-24 in all five content areas of the High School Equivalency/TASC exam and providing contextualized instruction in Business English and Business Math relating to a general business environment; assisting in administering and grading TASC readiness tests and TABE testing/post-testing; coordinating instruction with other instructors. The HSE Instructor is also responsible for instruction and recruitment of our debate teams. Additionally, this position supports all aspects of programming, including but not limited to recruitment and participant outreach.
Bachelor’s degree and teaching experience required. Prior experience in teaching HSE (or GED) prep classes as well as knowledge of the new Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) preferred. Prior experience working with young adults preferred; must be willing to work enthusiastically as part of a team.
