Morning Part-time TASC/HSE Math Instructor Needed
CAMBA, Inc. seeks a part-time HSE math instructor to work at its Education Center (885 Flatbush Avenue – Brooklyn, N.Y.) The class will meet in the morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday.
Candidates must have a B.A/B.S. in education or a related field; Masters preferred. Candidates must have taught ABE/GED/TASC preparation for at least 2 years and must have experience administering TABE and working with low income and/or ethnically diverse populations. For this position, the ability to effectively teach at least high-school-level Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, and Function to adults and young adults is a must. Applicants who have experience in computer-assisted instruction, who are self-starters, who are highly organized, and who are willing to attend professional development training on site or off site are preferred.
