The Student Advisor will be responsible for orientation, education and career counseling, data collection and reporting of student outcomes, including surveys for NRS, coordinating outreach, registration and assessment, implementing curriculum, and staff development, and developing relationships with partner organizations working with the Pre HSE Coordinator.
Requires a BA in education or related field, MA a plus 2 years experience in adult literacy and guidance/counseling needed. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; be competent with computers, databases and educational technologies, have knowledge of current theory and best practices in reading, writing and literacy assessment. A valid driver’s license is preferred. Ability to work evening and weekends as required
This grant funded position through Workforce Investment Act Title II is on the bargaining unit. The salary is $44,589.
