Brooklyn Community Services - Student Counselor
The Education Center provides adult education services to the Brooklyn community. We serve 500 students yearly with GED prep and ESL classes, and vocational training. The Education Center operates a Family Welcome Center providing case management & wrap-around services, workforce development programming, and regular community workshops & events. Many of our students speak Spanish, Arabic, or Chinese as their first language.
BCS Education Center is hiring a full time a student counselor, Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00am – 6:00pm,
Salary Range $45,000 - $55,000
Responsibilities include
Assist students in ESL and GED preparation classes achieve their educational goals through case management and career counseling services;
Ensure retention targets; conduct pre and post-testing;
Maintain case notes;
Conduct job readiness workshops;
Collaborate with teachers and counselors.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required;
- Spanish, Arabic, and/or Mandarin preferred;
- One year case management/counseling.
- Must be vaccinated.
