Tutors in US History, Global History, Living Environment, Integrated Algebra (P/T)

KTC seeks lead tutors (US History, Global History, Living Environment, Integrated Algebra) for immediate hire to facilitate individual/group sessions to high school students in our Regents Academy Prep (RAP). RAP is a pilot focused on preparing students for the January Regents.

Details 

• Class times: 4:30pm-6:30pm 
  
• Class days: Dec 16, Jan 13, Jan 15, Jan 20, Jan 22 

Description

• Collaborate with peer tutors to review assignments and provide KTC staff written feedback 
  
• Create weekly lesson plans 
  
• Conduct small group sessions 
  
• Facilitate 1-hour prep time after each class 
  
• Create weekly assessments and grade weekly assignments 
  
• Attend orientations Nov 11 and Dec 9 

Qualifications

• Professor, teacher/ teaching assistants, graduate students and post-docs are encouraged to apply 
  
• Zest, grit, self-control, hope, love, social intelligence, gratitude, and a sense of humor -Passionate about the mission of KIPP NYC 
  
• Experience with youth from underserved communities preferred 
  
• Willing to start immediately
